It is through the practice of the
First Perfection, the gesture of giving, that the resolve to cultivate
a meditation practice is made evident. Donations help to maintain the
monastery, aid unwaged participants, support the prison ministry and
youth-at-risk. It is through the mutual exchange of offerings for the
priceless Dharma teachings that a monastery is able to flourish and
meet the growing needs of those who come to its doors.
